About the Author In addition to authoring award winning young adult novels, PJ Sharon owns ABSolute Fitness and Therapeutic Bodywork, a private practice massage therapy and personal training business in East Granby, CT. With over twenty-five years in the health and fitness industry, Ms. Sharon offers a multidisciplinary approach to wellness. As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), Massage Therapist (LMT), Certified Personal Fitness Trainer (CPFT), and Yoga Instructor, Ms. Sharon brings a wealth of knowledge to her clients and workshops. A graduate of Springfield Technical Community College and the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy, Ms. Sharon also holds certifications as a trainer through the NFPT and teaches therapeutic yoga. Kelley As a self-admitted couch potato who not only works a full-time desk job but moonlights as a novelist and graphic designer, it's no stretch (pun unintended) to say that way, way too much of my time is spent slumped over in a chair. Nearly ten years of not paying attention to my posture has left me with upper-cross syndrome and a slight thoracic kyphosis, and I'm starting to feel pain in my left shoulder and back between my shoulder blades - not to mention the intense discomfort of always feeling "bunched up" in my upper body due to the fact that the ergonomic situation at my day job is crap. (There's only so much you can do to fix that when management doesn't care.) Enter PJ Sharon's book, which I devoured in days. It's a goldmine of information about how to get over the damage sitting all day does to your body, and who you can enlist to help. (I was glad to have it verified that I made the right choice choosing an osteopath for my primary care physician!) The book is also chock-full of stretches and exercises to loosen up those tight muscles and manage the pain they can cause. I've only done a few, because I haven't had the book long, but they do help almost immediately. Of course I'm sure you have to keep doing them in order to see lasting results, but I plan to. My only wish is that the book came with a DVD, because when you're stretching or exercising it's hard to maintain proper form and flow when you have to keep checking the book to see what to do next. Practice makes perfect, though, and I guess it wouldn't be so difficult to memorize them. This book came along at a time when I really needed it and I'm so glad I found it.

Throw in the fact that I have back and neck problems from breaking two vertebra in middle school and it's easy to see how I became overweight. I'm trying to change though, but most of those changes have come through changes in my eating habits. The only problem is that while I have taken off over 30+ pounds, I can see that food changes alone aren't going to cut it.I like that this book offers easy, simple to incorporate tips. Whether it's something as simple as setting a timer at work so that you get up and move every 30 to 60 minutes or making exercise part of your schedule just like anything else that's important, you'll find that these tips make sense.I definitely recommend the book. As someone that's overweight and has read, and written, about a number of techniques, I can state that this has information that works.

Sharon, maintains, you will not only feel and look great, but you will have more energy and motivation to achieve your goals. Included are recipes for yummy smoothies and tricks to help you along the journey to good health. Once you finish reading this book, keep it handy as a reference. Your body will thank you. I know mine has!
