My doctor told me to my face, change your ways or next time you will be diagnosed a diabetic and insulin injections will be a part of your future. As a commercial driver who must pass strict medical exams every two years, and with shaky hands to boot, the prospect of having to inject insulin was terrifying. So I took my doctor's warning to heart, making a vow to myself that very day; I would not become diabetic, I would research this problem and beat it, once and for all. Over the next few months, I developed the plan outlined in this e-book. What worked, what didn't, visiting many online sites and putting various ideas into real world practice. Some things worked, others flopped. Those that worked ended up in this e-book. The result: an easy and cheap approach which has resulted in my losing 60 pounds of flab from my body and 8 inches off my waistline; and a huge reduction in my Hemoglobin A1C from 6.3 all the way down to 5.2. My doctor now tells me just keep up what you are doing and you will never hear the word "diabetic" from me. In this e-book, I have attempted to meet several goals: 1)Explain Prediabetes in a simple way that anyone will understand. 2)Get into the topic of healthy eating- foods to eat, foods to avoid, as well as eating strategies to help control blood sugar levels. 3)Keep the costs low for the average person who is prediabetic. Understand that once one actually becomes diabetic, the costs will skyrocket. That is the unvarnished truth, no hype. In addition to being an insidious disease, Diabetes is an expensive disease. This book is written as I speak, folksy, as a review pointed out. That is who I am. I like to think that I am a "show me" type of guy and my guess is my readers will need to be shown as well. This I have tried to do in this e-book. I am not a doctor nor a nutritionist, just a formerly morbidly obese shuttle bus driver who went lazily through life eating with reckless abandon, to the point of being diagnosed Prediabetic. My advice to you is to look over those websites in the links above, check out the e-book options from the other authors here on Amazon, and go with who you are the most comfortable with. By Zizanie I have given four stars, as the author recommends Metformin.The author researched this drug, using such sites as webMD.Please do your own research, using natural health sites as well as mainstream medicine ones and draw your own conclusions.The book is a sensible and honest account of how the author lostan astonishing amount of weight and ceased being pre-diabetic.The writing style is chatty and relaxed and there were only a few typos, which certainly lessened the irritation level for the reader!I appreciated the author's honesty in relating his experiences, warts and all. I think anybody could relate to them and find encouragement to persist with dieting, even when they make a few mistakes.I would recommend this book to anyone who is serious about losing weight.However, I would also encourage people to investigate other factors which might be preventing weight loss, such as hormonalfluctuations.

I tell you now, the food is great and I'm a country fella and don't like to many foods beside steak and fajitas but he brought me some of those mexican squash. They were excellent when cooked as he suggested.Easy read and cheap to buy. Has a link to his blog for more recipes.
