Jennifer DeCurtins is a fitness instructor, personal trainer, yoga teacher and creator of the popular blog PeanutButterRunner. She also holds a 200-hour registered yoga teacher certification through Yoga Alliance and teaches hot yoga, power yoga, and vinyasa flow yoga at several studios in Charlotte, NC. By Read Reviews B4 Buying This informative and illustrative guide is exactly what has been missing from my yoga practice. As someone who has been practicing yoga just over 2 years and participates in power vinyasa, this book gives me the opportunity to stop and take the time to learn proper form and alignment. Although it is titled as an inversions guide, the book actually leads you through and demonstrates standing, seated, and foundational poses too. This book is suitable for all levels helping the beginner gain a better understanding of poses and the experienced yogi accomplish advanced transitions. There is one asana (posture) shown per page with clear corresponding photography and instructions on "how to get there", "where to engage", and tips. I am fortunate to have taken the author's yoga classes and no teacher is better qualified to have written such a book. The descriptions are concise and easy to understand and although it can be difficult to instruct physical activity through writing, DeCurtins accomplishes this very effectively. I appreciate that the book is a resource for me, inspires me to grow as a yogi, as well as encourages me to incorporate at-home practice. This is just the tool I needed to embrace approaching inversions and it is a must-add to your library. R.P.

I love the way it breaks down each pose point by point and makes everything so clear. Great for the student intimidated by inversions but also for instructors who can use this to help with their cueing and instruction.

I wanted to learn difficult poses the proper way without hurting myself. This book is great explaining the poses. The pictures are very helpful.
