The Playa's 2 is a "Must Read" By Amazon Customer My name is Christopher Lee Gist and I had the pleasure of reading both "The Playa's" and "The Playa's 2"...When it comes to Urban Fiction, "The Playa's 2" is honestly one of the best stories I've read and I've read well over 100 books in this genre. Other than being a reader I am also an editor. I have edited the last two books by Tajana Sutton ("And Then There Was X" and "Skai's The Limit 2"), and I will be editing Roland Davis's next book, entitled, "Retribution." 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. When Sh*t Hits the Fan! By Desirer S. Dollar ...this book was all over the place, but in a good way. Just when you think someone was about to die, something else dramatically would happen. I never read so much action, and suspense in an urban novel before, and it was very refreshing to read. There were a few hiccups in the book, but the storyline make your emotions run high, and it made up for it. I felt like I seen Danielle and Passion grow up before my eyes, and that they were part of my family. Please don't have us waiting too long for part 3, because I can't even imagine what more could possibly happen!

When I found this book I was skeptical, but it didn't disappoint! I love the idea of losing weight without starving or excersizing all day and this book is the key. It is simple and straight forward and really works! I love the extra tips and it even includes a great meal plan! It's more than just a fad it's a key to a great healthy lifestyle. Everyone needs to read this!

The topics was brief and straight to the point no too much long explanations and very easy to understand. I like the first part about the diet myths it really educates about how to prevent those misconceptions. Also it's great to know how to have a positive outlook on your goal on losing weight and having the right attitude towards it. It is also good to know that losing weight slowly is much safer than having a fast way of losing weight and thanks for explaining why it is good to loose weight for a healthier skin, hair and less fatigue.A certain must read plus a great recommendation to all or any, fitness lovers and almost all.

About the Author

Lisa Solomon is a studio artist that moonlights as a college professor and graphic designer. Profoundly interested in the idea of hybridization (sparked from her Happa heritage), Solomon's mixed-media works and installations revolve thematically around domesticity, craft, and triggers that may be construed as masculine and/or feminine. She is drawn to found objects tending to alter them conceptually so their meanings and original uses or intents are repurposed. She often fuses "wrong" things together--recontextualizing their original purposes, and incorporating materials that question the line between ART and CRAFT. She received her BA in art in 1995 from UC Berkeley and her MFA from Mills College in 2003. She has exhibited and works with galleries both nationally and internationally, is in numerous private and public collections, and is continually tweeking artworks in her backyard studio. She resides in Oakland, California with her husband, daughter, a three-legged cat, a cross-eyed cat, a deaf French bulldog, a pit-bull, and many, many spools of thread. I love that it offers so many different things to draw and gives you an opportunity to get outside your comfort zone. Lisa's drawings are so fun but really approachable. I have been using it to inspire myself to draw more, and as I mentioned above, to draw things I wouldn't normally think to draw. That's been super fun, and challenging in a way that is not daunting or labor intensive, just a little push. I also really like that you can draw right in the book, and that there's color as well to inspire you even more. Great book!

I've enjoyed studying the many beautiful and whimsical drawings while my nine-year-old daughter has devoured this book! She's spent hours copying and practicing drawing various lamps and tables and chairs. And then proceeded to fill her own book with tiny rooms filled with furniture. So cute! And so happy this book is inspiring her to spend more time drawing.

I've been toting this book around with me since I received it a few days ago, opening it up to a random page, and making a quick doodle whenever I have a few minutes. By following the author's instruction and encouragement - I'm making marks, letting the lines happen, and really 'seeing' the object (on the page or in life). I'm drawing more often and definitely enjoying it more.

It has recipes for a ton of salads, and gives you an easy to read guide for the first fourteen days. I tried the apple shot, and am excited to go try out the salads. I always have trouble figuring out salad recipes, but these all sound delicious. Thanks for the great book~

By Gregory Medina As a male reading this book, it gave me an insight of what women are really going through in their everyday lives. I was like wow, didn't need to know that much information or oh my that was something I really didn't need to know about our ladies. I was interested in this book cause Holly is the hot mom, but she is the same woman as our wives and mother to our kids us husbands wake up to every morning. She has gone through the hard times and now excelling in her professional and personal life. It seems like both us men and women have the same insecurities of what we should look like to the outside world. This book gives examples of what expecting moms, new moms and everyone in general should do to make themselves feel better on the inside and out. I really didn't know as a husband what my wife was going through when she would express with strong tone of voice to go outside or in garage to eat that cause it was making her sick. Or the famous that cologne smells like treatment water ( but she purchased it) so go and shower.But the book also makes you understand that she has been there and it's alright to feel that way. But also there's a time to get your butt up and start to do something for yourself. Excellent tips and her strong knowledge as a personal trainer just gets you in the right mind frame to get yourself to the gym, garage, living room so you can start to motivate yourself .Don't want to spoil her book , but go out and buy it. Remember it's for the moms and DADS this holiday season and year long reading. Before leaving this review I had to say one thing to Holly, it's a great book and daddy has C.R.S. morning.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. You Never know when you're going to need this book.. By T C Barillier Two weeks ago, this book was a very good book. Full of great information and healthful tips on making better food choices, but this week I spent 3 days in a hospital with congestive heart failure due to Persistent Atrial Fibrillation. The reality that this can be controlled through diet has made her book more like a Bible than a reference book. I am re-reading with purpose and I have to say that Ms Flowers has presented as clean and concise approach as the food she promotes. I will be reading several times over the next few weeks and I hope she follows it up with even more valuable tips and recipes. A fine book that I recommend you read before you are forced to like me.

The food that nourishes and goes deep, into cells, psyche, emotions, and well-being. Lisa's style is engaging and friendly. She writes what she knows. There are deeper levels in this book that do not appear at the first reading. As I would read a chapter, or a paragraph, I would be nodding my head in agreement at the simple changes I could make to my daily habits. Then, later in the day, I would get a glimpse of the why and how of that habit, and realize that what Lisa did best was to point me to a way of deep inner healing and wholeness. I highly recommend reading this book!

About the Author Chad Napier is a successful Business, Financial & Health Coach, Entrepreneur, Public Speaker, & Philanthropist. At a very young age of (9), Chad saw the movie “The Karate Kid,” and was interested in pursuing martial arts lessons. He studied Tae Kwon Do and in his mid-teens started to study Kwan Mu Kan, a Shotokan style of the martial arts. Also, within his mid-teens, Chad and his family opened and ran a successful martial arts school in Ohio. Chad was a member of the United States of America Karate Federation (USAKF). Where Chad trained & competed professionally in Martial Arts, Competing in Open-tournaments, Regionals, Nationals, and the Pan-Am Games. Chad was training for the Olympic Team but chose to retire from competition to focus on graduating college with a BS in Dietetics/Nutrition. Chad became more intrigued as a Fitness & Health Advocate and worked in several hospitals as a business manager within the Food & Nutrition Department. A few years after college, Chad decided to move and reside in Los Angeles, California, where he expanded his business knowledge and background within the field of Finance. Although, this seems to many as a huge shift in his career, Chad viewed it has financial health. The Executive Vice Chairman of the company soon mentored Chad and his knowledge expanded, as a Peak Performer and Chad soon became a Business & Financial Coach/Consultant for the Company. To this day, Chad has been mentored by some of the top experts in Peak Performance, such as Blair Singer, Anthony Robbins, T. Harv Eker, Cynthia Kersey, John C. It's a onetime investment you'll never regret. Strength training builds lean muscle tissue, which burns more calories — at work or at rest — 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The more lean muscle you have, the faster you'll slim down. Lose the salt because sodium contributes to water retention, making you look and feel bloated. Instead heat things up, latest research found that eating hot peppers can boost a person's basal metabolism. As funny as it sounds, sleep deprivation may make you fat and not just because you're susceptible to cases of the late-night munchies, although there's that too. Women who get less than four hours of sleep per night have a slower metabolism than those who snooze for a full eight hours. Go for an evening walk, eat every meal, add 20 minutes of exercise per day, and rink lots of water... This book was one of the best weight loss purchases I made! Whereas most of the other books I purchased were specifically regarding diet plans, this was an excellent book that reiterated the main reasons why it's important to maintain a healthy diet plan, even past when you reach your weight loss goal. Great book for beginners to have a guide on what to do and how to do it.

The missing ingredient By Denniger Bolton I'm a vegetarian who has played with veganism off and on for years and it's the whole protein thing that keeps me from sticking with the program. I know rice and beans, which was confirmed to me my Candice Nielsen in her book, is a complete protein, including the nine essential amino acids which the body is not able to produce on its own. So, we do need to eat and we do need all nine. The author introduces a few other foods and combinations of foods like rice and beans that fulfill this complete protein. There's quinoa, buckwhean, humpseed, chia see, soy and quom. Good and important book giving us the missing ingredient. The recipe part of the book includes some great recipes like Peanut Tofu Wrap and Coconut Curry Lentil Soup as well as Sweet Potato & Black Bean Veggie Burgers.

Plant based proteins are healthier and compassionate than animal based, so I love plant based proteins. I have been following a whole food plant based diet with great results for multiple years. Recently I went to my local library and checked out bunch of vegan books based on multiple recommendations including here. I picked out books that have good overview and nice recipes for good meal plans. This book definitely has good recipes/overviews for a plant based lifestyle. Spicy and Tasty! 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. A new approach to vegan recipes By Belle J I have recipes on vegetarian dishes but this is one of the few times I've encountered totally vegan meals. It was great to know that with a little tweak of my favorite dishes, I can make it a vegan one. The recipes in this book are interesting. It has the old favorites converted to fit to a vegan lifestyle such as the wraps, smoothies and pancakes. Sometimes, it is difficult to determine if one dish doesn't really contain any animal based ingredient - but with this book, you are sure that you are following your vegan diet. A great book for a vegans that ran out of ideas of delicious meals.

About the Author Jodi Leigh Miller earned the title of Ms. Natural Olympia in 2011 and 2012, and set national and world records in the American Powerlifting Federation and World Powerlifting Congress. Jodi is currently a top-five national-level National Physique Committee (NPC) Women’s Physique Competitor and has previously competed in Figure and Bodybuilding, having won the 2007 NPC Team Universe in the lightweight bodybuilding division. She holds a BA in English from the University of Texas at Austin, a lifetime secondary teaching certification in Texas, and is a certified personal trainer.Yuri Diogenes, M.S, MBA, technical speaker and author of more than ten technical books about technology and information security published in United States and Brazil. A real-life guide to achieve your objectives By Jose Neto The authors have succeeded to combine objective and useful information, ranging from mindset changes to nutrition and training, and even how to perform better at work, with a pleasant solid narrative that makes this well-structured book a must read.It’s amazing to read the real life stories these two authors share with us and how they have transformed their lives thru the same steps described in the book. The experiences and guidance they share have vastly resonated with my own life experiences as I devoured thru chapters that will definitively assist to define and apply good practices to achieve my life goals.

By Professor This book manages to be a deeply thought provoking yet easy to read must-have for every personal library. The "all-or-nothing" approach, ingrained in the minds of many, proves to be a flawed mindset based on the stories provided by Jodi and Yuri. They advocate harmonizing life goals that resemble the Greek ideal of balance: pursuit of excellence of the mind, the physical body, and the emotional being; one does not have to experience sabotage for the sake of the other. Whether your background is that of education with growth mindset influences or that of business models focused on 21st century skills like collaboration, you will connect with this book.Ready, Set, Achieve! is not all fluff however: it provides exploratory questioning drills, check lists, and how-to's. It encourages the reader to be independent and research his or her situation, to determine the challenges and benefits, and prepare for achievement.
