Dettrey Although this book gives you some guidance in dieting, it fails to give you the foods you should eat and recipes for it as examples. Since it was explaining the glycemic load, the author never listed the glycemic load to foods. In fact I am not sure what the purpose of this book was for? There was an added chapter to another diet book for you at the end of this book. That had a list of foods but no assigned calories or glycemic reference.

Ive just started reading this and I believe that learning all these or having a deeper knowledge on the proper waight loss will help you achieve it. I realized that there are lots of misconceptions people has. This book shares it all. Fascinating and fun to read! I never had an understanding about how it works until I read this book. I'm actually trying it for the first time, now that I understand the principles better. I also am going to try intermittent fasting which was also discussed. I like the content, because it gives you ideas and the philosophy behind it.
