About the Author Benji Kurtz is a self-described serial entrepreneur who changed to a plant-based lifestyle in 2013 and hasn’t looked back. He is the founder and Executive Director of Remedy Food Project, a Georgia-based nonprofit (www.remedyfood.org). Kurtz was educated at Emory University and holds a certificate in Plant-Based Nutrition from eCornell & The T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies. Kurtz and his wife Claire reside in Atlanta.

The author's weight loss story is inspiring. The book also includes recipes (no pictures or nutrition information) and resources for further study.
5 of 5 people found the following review helpful. A fantastic and concise story of the life changing benefits of a plant-based diet and the science behind it! By Jennifer McMahon Benji Kurtz has done something amazing with this book. In a book you can easily read in one evening, he has explained what we should eat and why, with the science behind it, in an enjoyable, understandable and humorous way! I have been eating a plant based diet for 17 years and have read many books about the benefits and ethics behind such a diet, but never have I seen such a concise description that explains each facet of the benefits of a plant-based diet told in such a real way - through the lens of Mr. Kurtz' own incredible journey to a healthier and happier life though a plant-based diet! And because the book comes with lots of delicious recipes, it's basically a "how to" that provides the roadmap. I highly recommend this book if you are, like Mr. Kurtz was, trying to understand the best and easiest way to eat for your health and the health of the planet. Or even if, like me, you are already living a plan-based lifestyle and just want to read a concise and entertaining book about the miraculous changes that come from a plant-based diet!

A really great and informative little gem of a book By Sheryl Just when I thought what more can be said about the benefits of a plant based diet, I read The Plant Advantage only to find that there was more to learn. The authors provided conclusive reasons for humans to be plant based and how we thrive eating the way we are intended to.A really great and informative little gem of a book. A must read for everyone.
