About the Author Nimali Fernando, MD, MPH, is a Virginia pediatrician and founder of the nonprofit the Doctor Yum Project, the popular recipe and parenting website doctoryum.com. By Georgia Girl After almost 40 years as a pediatric speech pathologist I have found a book that puts it all together when it comes to feeding children. This book is well written and brings together all the aspects of kiddos eating in a format that is easily understood. Regardless of whether or not you are concerned about how your child is eating this book is a wealth of information!

This book helps parents to make that happen by giving all the tools necessary to achieve just that. It presents solutions to every imaginable problem encountered by parents and therefore makes this book a must have manual for everybody raising children.The authors, Nimali Fernando MD, a practicing pediatrician, and Melanie Potock SLP, a feeding specialist have teamed together to present their best advice with this very practical, 'how-to' book full of original ideas and unique approaches.The book also highlights their work, experience and success with children in their own Doctor Yum Project kitchen.Happy reading!!!!!

By Melanie Yukov It was such an honor to meet Melanie at a conference and read her book. It is wonderful and rare for a speech pathologist to incorporate healthy eating into feeding therapy and Melanie does it beautifully. The tips outlined in this book are wonderful for feeding therapists, parents, and anyone in the health care field working with children. It is wonderful to see Dr. Nimali's collaboration. I enjoyed the parenting principles, recipes, and coach Mel's tips throughout the book. I highly recommend this book!
