By Jennifer I remember an episode of The Simpsons in which Homer tells Bart that menopause is the state of when “the stork that delivers babies suddenly gets shot”In real life, it’s rarely that comical, though. I am in my late 30s and this is obviously not a walk in the park. However, this book answers just about every question women may have about their life transition, and then some, Practical information and insight, and knowing that you are certainly not alone, even the most embarrassing symptoms are touched upon, such as body odor and brain fog, without a trace of condescension.These are some of the most important highlights:• The ins and outs of hormone replacement therapy• Coping strategies other than drugs• Tips for communicating effectively with your care providerDefinitely recommended, and to family members as well, to gain a better understanding of this bewildering transition!

By Mia Johnson Fifty Shades of Menopause by Mickey Harpaz is must read book for both men and women according to my view. This book is highly informative and author has very clearly expressed his views and plenty of medical research as well. The author's great knowledge on menopause and practical knowledge on dealing with patients on the matter is clearly displayed in this book. The facts are expressed in a very understandable manner to every one. Reading this book will help women to understand what she is dealing with and for men it will make you understand about the condition your partner is facing and not to panic in relationship affairs as well. The author has done a great research on this matter and links are provided for your further knowledge.The book consists an introduction on menopause and its stages. It provides you tips to make the journey easier understand the symptoms and react accordingly. This goes on describing the general problems you face and overcome your weight problems as well. Women will understand about the feeling of tire ,fatigue and to deal with hot flashes they face. This book provides me the medical knowledge on menopause and the information is highly useful for me. The tips mentioned on the matter are highly practical and valuable.This is a highly valuable and practical informative book on menopause and you can lead a happy and successful life by following this book. Actually, every woman will eventually go through menopause; which is probably why this particular book review should matter as much to you as it does to me. Author Mickey Harpaz manages to shed light on preconceived notions, in addition to those questions in your head that you felt would only be answered after going through the experience for yourself. It’s a comprehensive (and I do mean comprehensive), in that you are likely to find a range of helpful content on everything as it relates to the subject of menopause. Funny but pivotal, thought-provoking yet critical, I now get that menopause is more than just hot flashes and the notion of being a physical condition that means you can no longer have children. From its early development, to the theory of why it shouldn't be considered a medical condition, to the symptoms and the various ways to alleviate them, Harpaz has got you covered. What I liked most about the book has got to be just that; a wealth of information that you can refer to at any given time. This is a book for your daughter, sister, aunt or grandmother. Rightfully so, Fifty Shades of Menopause gets the thumbs up for making a scary topic less scary, by giving women the knowledge of what to expect.
