MPH REVIEW OF THE FIVE BITE DIET By MPH This book is just as long as it needs to be... in fact, it could be shorter, it basically explains the basic principles and reasons "why" the five bite diet is the absolute best diet IN THE WORLD. How do I know? because I never even read it... I read bits and parts after I had already lost all of the weight. Let me explain my story in about 2-3 sentences:I was really fat, over 220 POUNDS, my friend's personal physician is in fact Dr. Lewis. Dr. Lewis tell's him about the diet, he tells me, we both start it. First three days excruciating, no breakfast, no high fat drinks, but it felt good to eat whatever I wanted, even though it was only five bites... I went on the diet for a month and a half straight, with no deviations, and guess what? the weight I tried to get off for years which only resulted in gaining weight, all came off, over forty pounds of it. Let me say this again: THIS TOOK 1 1/2 MONTHS TO LOSE OVER FORTY POUNDS!!! Lets get another thing straight... I went to the gym before the diet, and gained weight... while on the diet, I DID NOT VISIT THE GYM ONCE.Anybody who puts this diet down, is, in my opinion is [re...bleep...ed]... I don't want to be mean, but seriously, this works, it comes off fast... nobody, I mean, nobody should want to be on this diet forever, get it over and done with... get in get out. it is hard, but so doable... Imagine what it feels like to be THAT MUCH HEALTHIER in such little time...I understand that many of you reading this will still not agree, but its sad, really sad, because you are probably fat, and will be fat forever, unlike me. There is literally nothing I can say to these people that would ever convince them, so to all of you who hate me now, I really do wish you the best of luck on your weight watchers or whatever other crap diet you will try in your lifetime that will ultimately fail, and probably cause you to get even fatter eventually. In the meantime I will be busy feeling great, being thin, and getting to eat whatever the hell I want and enjoy life, because whenever I gain any weight back (like a pound) I go right back on the diet for a day, and not surprisingly, I'm right back to normal :)BUY THIS BOOK, IT WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE!Best,MPH

54 of 58 people found the following review helpful. Portion control, what a concept! By Amazon Customer I devoured this book as soon as it arrived. I quickly began the diet a year ago and quickly lost 35 lbs.. I then went off the diet and successfully maintained my weight. Your "hungerstat" is reset with this diet so after you go off it you will get full very quickly so you listen to your body and stop when you are full. So you apply common sense and the weight will stay off. I am on it again to lose an additional 10 lbs and I'm on day 4 and down 3.4 lbs. Yes the first 3-4 days are tough, they are tough on any diet where you have to get used to lower portions but our bodies adapt quick and the weight will melt off. I'm a huge fan and I'll use and advocate this diet for the rest of my life. Dr Lewis says if you want extreme results you have to try something extreme, so yes this diet makes some people think we and him are crazy but it's not meant for long term. He says no one likes to diet, so do it and get it over with and get off the diet rollercoaster and thats just what I have done. I now have the tools to manage my weight for life thanks to this book and Dr Lewis!
