Honestly, the cover caught my eye and it was one book I did not yet have in my Yin collection. After reading the book, I wanted to know more about Cole Campbell but was unable to find any info on him. What is his background? Who is this guy?Although the book gives a decent overview of Yin history and poses, there is some conflicting and/or incomplete information (Hinduism vs. Taoism, energy meridians, etc.), and unfortunately there are no illustrations to go along with the asanas. As some of the asanas are complicated, illustrations are a must for new students to practice safely. As a teacher, I would not recommend this book.The thing that was MOST annoying about this book, however, was the lack of editing. There were so many spelling, punctuation, and grammar errors, I quickly became distracted from the content. I have never experienced anything like it.If you're looking for complete Yin resources that are thoroughly researched, trusted, and edited, stick with books and videos by Biff Mithoefer, Paul Grilley, Sarah Powers, and Bernie Clark.

I've been doing yoga for a few years now and I STILL learned from this book 5 new poses and a ton of great info on the evolution of yin yoga.Some great stuff in here about what makes yin yoga different from other yogas and of course he even gave some great details on how to properly execute the poses and coming out of them.Didn't know there was a certain way to come out of poses,but now I do and wow does it make a difference!
