About the Author Jennifer Hanning was born and bred in New Zealand. As a runaway bride in her early 20s, she moved to Australia. Following a rebound marriage and consequent divorce, Jennie travelled a long road in the company of 'the wrong crowd'. Drugs, alcohol, and partying were a significant part of her life. Gradually, life got more purposeful. After many years in the computer world with a software development team, Jennie found yoga – or perhaps yoga found her. In 2009, she began her first year of Teacher Training. Not long into the course, she had an epiphany, realising without a shadow of doubt that she was exactly where she was meant to be. Yoga and Meditation studies were truly life-changing and she wanted to share her learnings with others. She began teaching at the end of her first year and went on to study for her Advanced Diploma. Years later she is still learning, and plans to continue researching and studying for the rest of her life. Although the past is behind her – where it should be – Jennie appreciates all the hard lessons she had to learn. Her experiences give her a deep sense of empathy and understanding with students and clients who are struggling with issues. Writing is Jennie's other grand passion. Apart from her Relaxation and Meditation books, she writes mystery dramas. Her partner of 24 years is also her best friend and she is very grateful to be enjoying a life that is filled with so much meaning and happiness.

For a practical, down to earth, non-imaginative person like me, the beautiful scenarios that she details are balm to the soul, and save me the effort of working out ‘my favourite place’ to go to for meditation.This is a seriously relaxing book, and my only criticism is that the author has particularly targeted teachers, carers, and students in her subtitle. There is something for everyone who wants to unwind.One of the difficulties you will find is in deciding which one(s) of the themes works for you best. This book is so easy to read, and avoids the sometimes complicated, long winded instructions found in so many books of this genre. The book is beautifully structured with easy to find sections for different health issues. Just find your theme(s) and go! I had the joy of editing this book for Jennie, ( yay - a free copy) and after each session of reading, I was completely relaxed and at peace with the world. I cannot recommend it highly enough, especially for those like me, who find it hard to get into the right mind space to meditate effectively.Can’t wait for the hard copy version.
