2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. helpful book about running By Penelope Warner This is a great book that covers everything you need to know in order to get motivated into running, which is the best form of exercise for losing weight. I especially like that it covers much about what you could be doing wrong while running, because in high school gym class I would always run out of energy too quickly and wind up being the last one in (which of course my gym teacher hated about me) because I'd have to spend most of the time walking. Now as an adult I'm afraid to try, because I know I'll just run out of energy quickly, just like before.There's also exercises you can do to build up the strength needed to go on runs, how to create a good training plan, information about the right kind of nutrition you need, how to choose the right footwear, and effective running tips. The nutrition section also has a few recipes.

Keep it close so you can browse it when you have a spare moment. Very happy with the layout and information inside. Just what this new runner needed to get up to speed on the history and terminology of the sport.
