By Amazon Customer I've enjoyed Marta Kastner's columns in the local newspaper for years, and now I have a compilation of some of my favorites, plus lots of new stories. My favorite characters are the family dogs: Parker, Christie, Bear, and Jessie, whose personalities come through in both the writing and the illustrations. The anecdotal stories are not just charming and entertaining; the author has added educational content on a wide range of topics.
