Our 4 year old girl loved counting all the Ys on every beautifully illustrated page and even started drawing and finding fractals on her own. The story and art both complimented each other and showed how fractals occur throughout our world.

One of the most well-written and easy-to-read books I've read in a while (and I read A LOT). It outlines a simple way to apply positivity to our everyday lives, giving real examples that everyone can relate to. Ami has definitely inspired so many throughout her lifetime as is evident in the book, and I'm sure so many more will be positively impacted by this awesome widespread read! My personal experience with this book and it's positive impact was when a close friend had lots of life troubles and came to visit with me. She had just started anti-depressants, and was in fairly bad shape emotionally. I gave her a copy to read; her response while returning the book touched my heart! She said "you have no idea what you have given me, by letting me borrow this book! Now I at least know where to begin getting my feet back on the ground again! Thank you so much, I'll have to buy it and keep referring to it" To me, this is what life is about...spreading positivity! THANK YOU so much, Ami Ahuja, for helping my friend, me and so many more!

Just don't read it once, keep reading is as often as you can.We humans are stubborn and hard headed to change but reading this book can change all that as this book guides you on how to become a better person tomorrow than you are today. I can talk many positive things from the book like smile is contagious so keep smiling or listen more than you talk, I guess that's why God gave us one mouth and two ears but I highly recommend to read this book and follow one step at a time. Train your thoughts and feed your brain the UMBRELLA.

She gave me her book as one of her Christmas gifts and I loved it! I like to read motivational and self help type books for periodic reminders of positivity etc...this was an inspiring easy read. This book got straight to the point with great tips and reminders. It was a great way to kick off 2016.

Then I discovered this book. It was an exploration into wonder for me. First, my world collapsed and my whole sense of self diminished. The farther I got into the book, the more I was reborn, smoothie by smoothie. Finally, I emerged into an explosion of deliciousness and smoothietasticness. I keep a copy of my favorite daily smoothie and when I get into times of troubles, I pull out my pocket blender and whirl myself into betterness.

It helped me to understand the pain I am going through, what is causing it and what I should do to try to relieve it. This book as allowed me to take better notes of the sciatica pain so I can follow up with my doctor.I have incorporated several of the suggestions in the book into my day and am finding some relief. I have performed some of the stretches and have found the one with my hands behind my back particularly helpful. One morning I found that if I bent over my pain in my hip was very bad. I could barely touch my knees. I performed the stretch with my hands behind my back and was able to bend over further without pain.I did find the writing in this book a bit difficult to read. If you take a ‘look inside’ you will start to see that the author is an expert in the area but also start to see their writing style. There were several typos in the revision of the book I received. I provided the author with some suggestions and they are working on updating the book with the corrections.If you are suffering from nerve pain in your back or leg, I do recommend reading this book. It can help you understand the cause of the pain and give you some ideas on how to relieve it.I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review.

The author doesn't claim to be a medical professional but does share his sources throughout and writes in a way that someone with little medical knowledge can understand.There is also a section with stretches that will help alleviate pain and other helpful methods such as yoga, ice/heat therapy, and chiropractic.I was very impressed with the thoroughness of this book and highly recommend it to anyone who suffers from siatic pain.I received this book for free or at a discount in exchange for my honesty and unbiased review based on my own reading.

Twenty-eight-year-old Karen Mills is mortally wounded in an assassination attempt against her husband, a Houston homicide detective. Despite being connected to various life support devices, she dies four hours later in the hospital emergency room. When the "Long Tunnel" appears in the ceiling tiles above the bed, however, she resists the almost-magnetic force pulling her toward the opening.

She has overheard the doctors discussing the possibility of maintaining her body on life support, at least until the baby she's been nurturing in her womb for six months can finish developing and be delivered safely. She is determined to stay behind to witness the birth of her daughter; then she'll happily surrender to the unending force tugging her toward the ceiling. For her husband, Greg, the following three months are the longest of his life, spending as much time beside her bed as he can spare when he isn't out searching for the killer. They are both shocked to learn that the man responsible for her death is a highly respected member of the United States government.

Great read that truly helps through encouragement and motivation By Rob, Marina and King Robbins Motivation is one of the HARDEST but necessary steps in losing weight. I don't need to lose a lot. 25 pounds post baby weight and I would be a happy camper. I am a busy Mom. I run around this house with a little one all day. Up and down stairs, from one room to the other. I thought I was getting a lot of exercise until I got a step tracker Pivotal Living Band - Activity + Sleep Tracker and realized I wasn't getting NEAR the amount of steps necessary to lose weight. I was hitting about 650 but needed at least 1,000. I needed some motivation to get outside. Walk, run, get moving! Take the little guy with me and walk (or push him in a jogger). I needed motivation! This guide has helped me see the way to get there through positive encouragement. Nicholas writes in a kind and thoughtful manner that I appreciate immensely. His thoughts on a diet plan are working for me as well.This was a quick read but one I will re-read when I feel I need that extra push. It's informative and help me concentrate on the necessary steps, frame of mind and challenges I can overcome.

This is a harsh but subtle reality as most of us struggle to cope with severe stress, whatever the nature and extent of our workplace environment may be. Are we doomed to remain under such stress, relentless distractions, and an ever-increasing abundance of information often characterized as a tsunami or blizzard?"Thankfully, the answer is no. It is actually possible to train the brain to respond differently to today's constant interruptions through the practice of mindfulness. Simply put, at its introductory level, mindfulness means trained attention. Based on thousands of practice, mindfulness techniques enable people to manage their attention, improve their awareness, and sharpen their focus and clarity."In essence, here's the challenge and (yes) the opportunity: bridge mindfulness and every day tasks at work. Whatever the tasks, there is a process to their completion. This is what Mihály Csíkszentmihályi has in mind when explaining what he calls "flow," a state in which one is fully immersed in a feeling of energized focus, full involvement, and enjoyment in the process of the activity. In essence, flow is characterized by complete absorption in what one does. Athletes call it "the zone." The process of development to which I referred earlier must be taken seriously. In fact, mindfulness is itself an on-going process, not a destination. Hence the importance of the 16 techniques, eight mental strategies, and several foundational practices that will guide and inform as well as nourish the development of a source of joy and a sense of purpose as well as serenity and even fulfillment.This is what Rasmus Hougaard has in mind when sharing these concluding thoughts: “Mindfulness is within you – if only you invite it. And if on your mindfulness journey, you have a story ton share, please let me know. Perhaps your story, like many in this book, will serve to inspire and motivate others on their mindfulness journey." He wishes each reader "all the best,” as do I.

By Amazon Customer In the past decade I have developed a keen interest in stress and time management. Mindfulness has always been my primary method for managing stress. But I never successfully figured out how to applied widely in my work day, and especially how it could be integrated with my time management.This book introduces a terrific framework for doing just that. It shows the ins and outs of applying mindfulness at work, connecting the dots from basic rationale of mindfulness, via science, to the actual application in all sorts of situations at work. How do you really manage your e-mails mindfully? Plan mindfully? etc.The number of books on the theme of “mindfulness at work” has boomed in the past year. I have ready many of them, and browsed pretty much almost all. To me, this one stands out because it is much more thorough, practical, and well-conceived than anything else I have read. You really get a sense that Rasmus and his co-authors have spent years developing this material in actual work with clients.

The ketogenic diet is a low-carb diet that works with the body to burn off most of the fat that has been residing there. It’s a means to help you lose weight fast, and in an effective manner. By the end of this, you’ll be able to have the body that you want, and the weight that you’ve dreamed of. This book provides lots of information on the ketogenic diet, like who should be on it, what the diet consists of, and, of course, the health benefits of such a diet. And, the recipes look absolutely delicious.

FOR NOW By Jam Diaz I’ve been hearing about this method for quite some time now and am highly curious in its effectivity in achieving the health benefits it claims. 2 years ago, I’ve decided to make a huge turnaround in my life and that included changing my diet and quitting smoking, finally. Best decision ever! However, I must admit that temptation is a b*tch and it takes a lot of courage and discipline for me not to go back to my old ways especially if I’m traveling for work and I see a new dish/delicacy I would want to try but opted not to because of the ingredients it contains. This book is promising with how detailed the instructions are written in every recipe and even a corresponding nutritional value to make it more legit in backing up its claims. Sweet! I love cheese to the core and its’one of the hardest comfort food I had to give up for my transformation but maybe now, with the help of this book, I might be able to re-introduce my forever love back in my life again. Just writing about it makes me famished. Ugh! Maybe I’ll wait it out until the holiday season is over and then I’d be sure to try some, if not all recipes, and test the claims this author is insisting her readers to give a try. Why not. :)

This book will give you some useful tips on how you can insert simple exercises while watching TV. Simple and easy to follow guides on how and when to eat to maximize your weight loss. Laurie Armstrong also included some NEAT(Non-Exercise Activity Thermogenesis) programs which Dr Jame Levine M.D. Ph.D developed, so that people can get up the couch and burn some caloeries. I recommend this book to people who wants to lose weight without too much effort and for people who are too busy and have no time for exercise but still want to lose weight.

From the Author The paramount goal of Together We Empower was to create a reliable and accurate account of Sehgal Foundation's first fifteen-plus years of direct work. This endeavor entailed countless interviews and the gathering of stories, reports, correspondence, and other materials, official as well as personal, from foundation team members, associates, and volunteers at all levels in the organization. In every case, the people involved provided gracious assistance and cooperation along with their enthusiasm and support for making sure the facts were right, even when interpretations of some events appeared to be contradictory. Readers from inside and outside Sehgal Foundation provided feedback to each draft of the material, which made it possible to ask more questions, uncover more complete details, and make sure that this book is a true description of the organization and its development over time.Humility runs deep within those associated with Sehgal Foundation. Their tenacity and steady commitment frequently calls to mind Mahatma Gandhi's comment, "In a gentle way, you can change the world." True Empowerment By Grayjay This book covers the history of the first 15 years of the Sehgal Foundation's work in the very poor, primitive areas of India. Suri and Edda Sehgal, who set up this foundation, have worked for many years to help the people in rural India. Their life stories were documented in "Seeds for Change," written by this same author.I have never been aware of the extremely dire conditions, in this day and time, that some people still endure. The book discusses how, in so many of the villages, people would have to defecate in public, in open fields. It also covers the struggles to develop water sources, so that the people weren't having to spend their days carrying water for very long distances.The most important thing that I saw from the Foundation's work was their insistence that those people being helped had to have a personal stake in the project, no matter how small, so that they would feel ownership with the outcome. What a better approach, rather than simply providing handouts in a welfare scenario.This book is such a testament to the amazing couple who started this foundation, and the meaningful and significant work that it has done and continues to do in areas of such immense need.

Throughout the book, there are examples of steps take, obstacles overcomes, short term benefits, and long term results. The supplementing information describes the Foundation, its achievements, partnerships, affiliations, awards, and recognitions.
