By Murphy Richards This book emphasizes physical wellness in the form of Yoga - a practice for redirecting awareness to the mind and body in a way that brings greater alignment between mind and body. The book shows that the practice of Yoga is conducted through three fundamental elements which are; breathing, exercise and meditation. Types of Yoga i never knew about were mentioned such as Hatha, Power, Yin, Restorative and Art of living Yoga. I was most fascinated by the poses. Few of them like the tree, crow and plank struck me. Overall, one can use the illustrations in this book without difficulty as they are clear and easy to follow.

By reading this book learned about some more popular yoga forms and poses. Most of them are for beginner level learners. By reading this book I have understood about the benefits of yoga. These info are helpful for me because I am new to yoga and I need some basics before I go to the more complicated ones. What is great about this book is that it is very reader-friendly, very beginner-friendly in fact. I get to know a lot of things about yoga, which I am so interested about. After reading, I felt that I know it so much that I'm ready to start. I also love the fact that I actually learned some easy to follow poses and stretches that I can do anytime--especially since some of the poses are at the beginner level, but I also have to admit that the other poses are quite challenging. The images helped a lot too.
