I have tried some other DVDs and have attended yoga classes, but often find myself left behind for some poses I'm just not ready for. This is gentle and enjoyable, not too demanding, and I look forward to it instead of dreading it. I like the poses and the voice, which is not intrusive but reminds me where my mind should be - on the breath. I rented this as a trial but will buy it now that I've tried it.

Mary Scott has compiled them into 5 chapters for us to learn the yoga basics, how we'll benefit from doing yoga, meditation, doing yoga in bed for those who are suffering back problems and yoga poses to help everyone to achieve that dream flat stomach. It's really amazing to have this kind of book that equips almost everything that you'll need to know to starting yoga. The 30 day guide is very helpful for most beginners and those who are coming back to doing yoga.

I learned that Yoga can give good contributions to our bone density, adrenal glands and respiratory system aside from our flexibility and muscle strength. Apart from the physical benefits, the author also explained how this discipline can keep us mentally and spiritually well. This book covered topics every beginner would look for like the branches of yoga, finding a good yoga teacher, how to get started and my favorite part, examples of simple yoga poses to do at home. I think, trying some yoga poses for a few days on your own would help you figure out what branch of Yoga would fit you best and would also be a good preparation before you take a formal yoga class."Yoga" is short but packed with valuable information. The topics were explained very well. As a beginner, I was able to understand clearly what the author tried to point out. This book would gear you with basic knowledge about yoga which will be very useful for you once you start practicing it. Best for yoga beginners.
